In poker, each player buys in with a certain amount of chips. Typically, each white chip is worth the minimum ante/bet, a red chip is worth five whites, and a blue chip is worth 10 whites. This gives each player an equal chance of winning the pot.
After the initial betting round is complete, the dealer puts three cards on the table that anyone can use. This is called the flop. Then another betting round takes place. If you have a strong poker hand, you should bet at this stage to force weaker hands out.
After the final betting round is over, you expose your cards and the player with the highest poker hand wins the pot. Remember, though, that even the best poker players can get caught with a bad hand sometimes. It’s just the nature of the game! This is what makes it so interesting.
